Almost all of the world’s best golfers travel to the Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village Country Club in Dublin, Ohio this week. As the tournament is a high profile event, it is one of the most appreciated non-major events of the year.
The course is a par 72, just over 7,500 yards, with bentgrass greens.
Scottie Scheffler opened as a favorite to win, +650 at FOX Bet, while Jon Rahm is not too far behind at +700. Rahm won the tournament in 2020 and was on track to defend his title in 2021 before testing positive for COVID-19, nullifying his repeat bid. Last year’s champion Billy Horschel hits +10,000 and wins it all this week.
After a strong showing at the PGA Championship, we haven’t had a great week betting on the Charles Schwab Challenge, so this week we’re trying to be an ace.
Now that we’ve covered the basics, let’s dive into the favorites and my overall portfolio for this tournament.
