There’s no debate this year about who is the most eligible free agent in Major League Baseball’s offseason. That honor goes to reigning American League MVP and single-season home run record holder Aaron Judge.
The judge returned to his home base in Northern California earlier this week and has reportedly had several meetings with San Francisco Giants officials. The Giants have made no secret of their interest in signing Judge from the New York Yankees to play for his home team.

As part of their recruiting talk, the Giants are also enlisting one of the Bay Area’s biggest sports stars to help their cause: Stephen Curry, guarded by the Golden State Warriors.
Growing up in North Carolina as a Boston Red Sox fan, Curry was also known for showing up at Giants games to support the MLB team that now plays closest to the Warriors’ home arena, the Chase Center in San Francisco . Corresponding NBC Sports Bay areathe Giants put Judge in touch with Curry in hopes the two would bond and talk about being a superstar by the bay.

Current Giants players have also recruited Judge, most notably outfielder Joc Pederson.
Time will tell if Judge chooses to sign with the Giants, but if he does, the team will be especially grateful to the superstar for his Thanksgiving week pitch — and potential clutch assistance from Curry.
