FOX Bet trading specialist Martin Pascual identified three key factors when it comes to NBA Finals betting:

– rest/fatigue. Boston survived back-to-back Eastern Conference series going seven games. Golden State last played on May 26th.

– home dish. The Warriors are 9-0 at the Chase Center going into the Finals this postseason.

– Stephen Curry. Golden State has a guard who is a two-time league MVP and is seeking his fourth NBA title.

“I will ride with the team that has done it before and is more rested,” said Pascual. “Another big factor is home field advantage, since Golden State didn’t lose in the playoffs at the Chase Center this year.

“This is also the year that Steph Curry finally gets his Finals MVP.”

FOX sports betting analyst Jason McIntyre confirmed the logic of betting Curry on winning the Finals MVP. But McIntyre said there was value in shooting with a former Michigan Wolverine who had one breakout season, averaging 18.5 points per game and shooting .925% from the line, which can be a valuable skill in the Finals.

“I’m not going to talk you out of the fact that Curry will win Finals MVP, but I will talk you into making a smaller long-shot bet: Jordan Poole will win Finals MVP,” McIntyre said. “Yes, his tally has gone down since the Denver series, and he’s often been outplayed off the court by the Mavs, who chased him mercilessly.

“So where’s the value in Poole? This is a defensive streak (after Game 1). Those were two elite defenses all season and the Celtics’ ability to turn on the perimeter will cause problems for the Warriors. The one guy I don’t think can be stopped one on one by any Celtic defender is Poole.

“Boston will collapse at Curry and they’re too disciplined to leave Klay Thompson. Poole’s offense will be necessary to win this series.”
