The 24-year-old may only be fighting his second fight in ONE championship, but he’s up against one of the most anticipated maps of the year – ONE Friday Fights 34: Rodtang vs Superlek.
With the eyes of the martial arts world on him, one of the MENA region’s biggest fight contenders will be looking to build on his ONE debut success as a devastating body shot shattered Jomhod Auto Muay Thai in the second round.
It’s launched him onto the world stage in style, but a record of 29-4-1 in Muay Thai and kickboxing shows the excitement around him isn’t misplaced. That TKO at ONE Friday Fights 22 was the latest in a string of impressive stoppages – including three consecutive KO wins prior to his arrival at ONE, all of which came from his extremely dangerous knee attacks.
A 15-year veteran of the sport, Prajanchai PK Saenchai will give the toughest test. A former Muay Thai World Strawweight Champion and now the interim title holder, he has competed in hundreds of bouts throughout his illustrious career that have made him a household name in his native Thailand and beyond in the fighting world. He also pulled off an impressive second-round TKO win over Sam-A Gaiyanghadao – and both men know that a win will bring them one step closer to an undisputed title.
As if all of that wasn’t enough, both men will have the honor of appearing on a card long-awaited by fight fans around the world, which will feature two of the greatest Muay Thai practitioners of the present day in Rodtang and Superlek compete against each other.
ONE Friday Fights 34: Rodtang vs Superlek takes place on Friday 22nd September at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok. MENA fans can watch the event exclusively live on BEIN Sports from 3.30pm Mecca.
