Rory McIlroy and Victor Howland share the lead at 16 under par and head into the final round of the Open Championship on Sunday at the historic Old Course in St Andrews, Scotland.

Four shots behind are the two Camerons, Cameron Smith and Cameron Young at 12 under par. But can they catch McIlroy or Hovland?

World No. 1 and Masters champion Scottie Scheffler is level on points with 2017 Players Championship winner Si Woo Kim, another shot behind the two Camerons.

Two-time Major winner Dustin Johnson is at 10 under par. Reigning US Open champion Matt Fitzpatrick is in eighth place, one shot behind Johnson.

With Tiger Woods missing the cut in his attempt to win his 16th major, all eyes are on McIlroy, who was world No. 1 for 106 weeks starting in 2012. The Northern Ireland native is aiming for his fifth Major title.

Tiger Woods has delivered his harshest criticism yet of the golfers who gave up the PGA status quo for the Incentive Heave LIV Tour.

In addition to winning the 2014 Open, McIlroy won the 2011 US Open and the 2012 and 2014 PGA Championship.

Hovland is a three-time winner of the PGA Tour. His best performances at a Major were 12th place at the 2019 US Open and the 2021 Open Championship.

Smith has five wins on the PGA Tour and Young has two wins on the Korn Ferry Tour, but both are aiming for their first major.

Smith finished second at the 2020 Masters and fourth at the 2015 US Open. Young placed third at the PGA Championship in May.

Also within reach is Fitzpatrick, who hails from Sheffield, England and won the US Open in June.
