The 154 year old golf course is known for its character and unique history. Each hole has its own name as the course is mostly level, however some holes run through sand hills. The course has recently undergone some refurbishment with the 17th hole being converted from a par 4 to a 136 yard par 3.

The last time the Open Championship was played at Royal Liverpool Golf Club was in 2014. Rory McIlroy won the Open Championship that year by shooting 17 under par 271 and defeating Rickie Fowler and Sergio Garcia by two shots.

It was also McIlroy’s last win in a major tournament. The Northern Irishman has come close to winning a major tournament on a number of occasions since, including last year’s Open Championship when he finished third, two shots down on the winners CameronSmith. McIlroy also finished second at the US Open that year, losing by one shot to Wyndham Clark.

McIlory is the favorite to win the tournament at +700 odds FOX bet. Jon Rahm (+900, bet $10 to win $100 total), Scottie Scheffler (+900), Brooks Koepka (+1400) and Smith (+1600) round out the top 5 betting favorites.

Here you will find tournament information and odds for some of the top golfers for the Open Championship.
