Jaylen Brown will sign the biggest contract in NBA history.

The Star Wing has agreed a five-year, $304 million supermax extension with the Boston Celtics. according to several reports. The contract includes a trade kicker but is fully guaranteed and has no player option, The Athletic reported. Previous reports indicated that both sides were haggling over the inclusion of a possible trade kicker and player option.

Brown has had the best season of his seven-year career. In the 2022-23 regular season, he averaged 26.6 points per game, which earned him All-NBA underseason honors that made him eligible for a supermax extension that offseason.

The Celtics have been among the top teams in the league since drafting Brown #3 in the 2016 draft, making five conference finals and one NBA final.

Brown entered the final year of his four-year contract, which he signed ahead of the 2019–20 season, meaning that contract runs until the end of the 2028–29 season.
