Breitling welcomes Man City star Erling Haaland to its new ‘all-star team’ of sports ambassadors

There’s a reason he’s called “unstoppable” on the pitch. Erling Haaland’s career is not measured in goals, but in brackets and hat-tricks. At the time of this writing, the soccer superstar had just broken records for 15 Premier League goals in his first nine games and 28 Champions League goals in his first 22 games.

The Manchester City forward joins other elite athletes including basketball player Giannis Antetokounmpo, snowboarder Chloe Kim and American football player Trevor Lawrence to complete Breitling’s new ‘all-star team’.

Haaland is made to score goals. That’s down to both its size and speed, as well as its textbook center forward playstyle. In his debut season in the German Bundesliga professional league, he was named Player of the Month after just an hour on the pitch. He picked up the Golden Boot at the FIFA U20 World Cup for scoring a record nine goals in a single game.

Now, at just 22 years old, he is already considered one of the best players in the world.

“Erling Haaland is exactly what we’re looking for in a squad member,” said Georges Kern, CEO of Breitling. “He’s a powerful performer, he’s got tremendous character, he’s totally authentic and down-to-earth – Erling is the very embodiment of Breitling’s casual and inclusive luxury.”

“I’m a watch freak, so I was already a big fan of the brand,” says Haaland about the partnership. “If you know my style, you know that I always go for a clean look that can guide me between my public and private life.

“The new Breitling I represent is just that: a watch that works for everything I do. I can’t wait to launch it next week and finally wear it myself.”

Look for Haaland, along with the rest of the all-star team, to represent Breitling in a major new campaign and product launch due later this month.
