Aminipour, 23, is quickly establishing himself in the muay thai bantamweight division after claiming three hard-fought victories since joining ONE in February of this year.

The up-and-coming youngster will face his toughest test yet when he takes on veteran Thai fighter Pongsiri PK Saenchai. A veteran of more than 200 Muay Thai fights, including 159 wins, Pongsiri has also won his last three bouts in ONE and will be looking to build his momentum.

Aminipour, who fights in Tiger Muay Thai, has looked sharp in his three previous bouts and training footage shared on social media shows an ever-evolving fighter. A fourth win in ONE against a strong opponent would further boost his bantamweight credentials.

Moroccan Wali Karroumi is another athlete fighting in the famous Tiger Muay Thai and like Aminipour another bantamweight. The 29-year-old will make his first ONE appearance and faces a tough test against Russia’s Elbrus Osmanov, who has won both ONE fights so far.

This continues the strong presence of MENA fighters in ONE and particularly in the ONE Friday Fights series. Karroumi is the fourth Moroccan to start and Aminipour joins the long list of successful Iranian fighters.

You can watch ONE Friday Fights 29 on Friday 18th August at 15:30 GST on BEIN Sport 1 EN.
