The 29-year-old lost his first battle with the organization but has since been on a mission to claim the crown – and says there’s a simple guiding principle behind what he does.
“Trust your heart. Trust your coach, trust your team and trust your game plan,” he explains. “Every day I say God help me please. I wake up, every day I go to practice. Trust your life and trust your heart and every day you wake up and go to the gym.”
The process and game plan for Allazov was a long one, with an extensive amateur record before turning to the professional game. This is a fighter who has paid his dues and is now delivering a life of hard work and sacrifice.
“Yes, I have a long amateur career. I am a 5 time World Champion in Muay Thai in WMC, in other promotions. Yes, I have a lot of amateur fights, but before I fight maybe 5-10 fights in a month, that’s normal. We have more than 200, maybe 250 fights. I’ve only lost three fights in pro. I fight in kickboxing, kickboxing and MMA together before. You have a lot of fights and after you turn pro you change your style and everything is fine. You know it’s good for the young fighters. It’s good for your career, it’s good.”
And while Allazov has plenty of Muay Thai experience, he has no interest in pursuing a second title and a possible superfight with Tawanchai at the moment.
“I like muay thai, I like elbows, I like knees, I like clinching, we do that my team, I started my career in muay thai, not kickboxing,” he said. “After I got promoted to K1 I changed my style a bit and only trained at K1 and fought only at K1. But for me it’s a different style, really a different style.
“Maybe Tawanchai would like to come to my weight and fight with me in kickboxing, no problem. Warm welcome! I say I like that. That’s welcome, I’ve said it before. Welcome to Bangkok. But going to Muay Thai is a different situation. I may not like it, I’m not going to focus 100 percent on this style. I don’t like fighting in other styles.”
