After the UEFA Women’s Champions’ League final, Hublot is once again gearing up to experience and share magical football moments.
For the first time, UEFA and Hublot join forces for women’s football. Women’s Euro 2022 features 25 days of football, 16 teams, 10 stadiums and a highly anticipated final at Wembley.
For the first time in 22 years, Germany will not go into the tournament as the defending champions, as the Netherlands have hosted it since 2017.
In a sign that women’s football is becoming more visible, UEFA has already announced that the 2022 event will set new records for spectators and TV viewers.
Modeled on its role as sponsor of UEFA men’s competitions, Hublot has carried the colors of women’s football since 2015 by supporting the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada and since 2020 the UEFA Women’s Champions League, UEFA Women’s Under-19 and UEFA Women’s Under-17 – and UEFA Futsal EURO Women’s Champions League, the indoor hard court football tournament.
These sponsorship deals confirm Hublot’s commitment to the values of sport and the inclusive spirit of football. Through its commitment, Hublot also champions the values of the “Together #WePlayStrong” campaign, which appropriately aims to further develop women’s football in Europe.
The watchmaker takes this commitment to the lawn with his two friends of the brand – Ada Hegerberg & Alexia Putellas. Ada Hegerberg will play the competition in the Norway team (Group A) and defend her country’s colors on the pitch, but together they both embody the spirit of women’s football.
These two sporting icons are on two different, inspiring paths to take the values of equality to the heart of football and even beyond.
Ada Hegerberg has been a friend of the brand since 2019. She is the star of the Norway women’s national team, winner of the 2018 Ballon d’Or and holds the record for most goals in 2019.
After recently recovering from an injury that kept her out of competition, she returns to the Norway national team for UEFA Women’s EURO 2022. Football is a family affair for Ada: she was inspired by her sister Andrine Stolsmo Hegerberg.
Now, in turn, she inspires the new generation to play football.
Alexia Putellas has been a friend of the brand since 2021. She is the player with the most caps in the Spanish team.
Already a Barça legend, she achieved double success in 2021: the women’s Ballon d’Or and the UEFA Female Player of the Year award. She started playing soccer at school where she already showed her leadership skills.
Many dream of following her path. These great players are championing the values of courage, determination and heart with the #showyourheart campaign.
At Hublot we love football, especially the dreams, emotions and inspiration it inspires.
