Yes Morant is at it again.
The Memphis Grizzlies superstar threw in a thunderous dunk in the third quarter of his team’s 130-112 win over the Indiana Pacers on Saturday. The stunning dunk instantly became one of the most explosive highlights of the 2022-23 NBA season.
Prior to Saturday’s game against Indiana, Morant had a dunk against every NBA team in his young career except the Pacers. His remedy for this came at the expense of Pacers center Jalen Smith, who could only watch as Morant flew overhead.
The “Dunk of the Year Contestant” immediately gained traction on Twitter, prompting a response from Kevin Durant, among others.
Morant’s Grizzlies teammates also reacted similarly.
Morant had 25 points, 10 assists and three rebounds in the win. He also had a similar gravity-defying block on a shot attempt from across the court.
The Grizzlies improved to 29-13 with the win and tied for first place with the Denver Nuggets in the NBA’s Western Conference.
