Intense competition was seen in the opening stages of the last Lebanese expats basketball league

The Lebanese Expats Basketball Championship was held for the third time under the supervision of the UAE Basketball Federation and with the support of the Dubai Sports Council.

Eight teams, Beirut, Saida, Byblos, Zahle, Tyre, Jounieh, Baalbek and Tripoli are fighting for the title. The league takes place at Champs Sports Club – Al Quoz – UAE.

In the first few weeks there was a lot of competition between the teams, with Tyre, Zahle and Byblos remaining undefeated.

In week 3, the Zahle team won against Beirut. Mohamad Ismail was Bachir Icream MVP of the match and Byblos clinched a tough win over Saida through a great performance from Ahmad Tartoussi.

The Baalbek team defeated Tripoli after taking the game to double overtime with the assistance of MVP Mazen Ghosn who finished the game on 50 points. In the final game of Week 3, Andrew Savaya led Team Tire to their third win over Team Jounieh.
